Need some insight-

Hello all, I am not off to a good start in this class, I am looking to do my action plan on the effectiveness of RTI in the first grade at the school I am working with and seeing what I can do to make it better. I was wondering if anyone else was doing a topic like this or am I making this plan to hard for myself? Let me know if you have any thoughts or concerns for my topic. Thank you Natalie.

    Natalie, This seems like a broad subject to cover. Mine is as well. How do you plan to advocate your topic? I understand your topic and how it is important maybe you could advocate for the children and the familes that recieve RTI services. Or maybe you could advocate for more funding, resources or changes to how RTI is addressed in the school in which you are working with. I hope that this is helpful and what you were looking for.     Sorry to hear that. Your topic is broad like Kristina mentioned. Narrow it down to what you want to advocate about specifically and take it from there. Okay! Hope this help and don't worry we're all in this together and to help each other good luck.

    Thanks I narrowed my topic down a little too. I am still having trouble but want to get better look at how music and art can help the children and how we can help advocate it. It seem to be getting more on music than anything.

    Hello Darlene,

    I would have a topic like " The importance of music and art in early childhood" I would go on by talking about how art and music are basic human functions. How music stimulate our minds, nurturing for the soul, brings out our emotions etc.. and how art allows us to communicate, be free, creative etc.. I love music and art that's why I'm able to give you a little hint. I hope this help you. Oh check this site out for some help. Good luck dear:)

    I know that music and art work hand in hand. Maybe you can combine the both to talk about how creative arts is important and how it can and will make in children's lives. What type of funding do they have for RTI in your district or county? How many professionals are in a RTI program? This could start the ball rolling for the need for programs or trainers.
